Understanding and photosynthetic processes in plants – Plants are living things Fotoautotrof which means it can make its own food from inorganic materials into organic matter with the help of sunlight.

Through the process of photosynthesis, plants can make food that will later make the plant alive.

In this life plants are very important for the survival of other living things.

In the plant food chain are producers which are the basic level of the food chain so that if there are no plants the food chain afterwards will not be able to survive which makes it extinct.

Photosynthesis is a method used by plants to make food substances in the form of glucose with the help of sunlight (Light = Photo, Process of making / processing = Synthesis) by using nutrients / minerals, carbon dioxide and water.

Glucose from photosynthesis is then used as an energy source for plant cells to grow and develop.

The rest of the glucose reserves will be stored in the leaves, roots (types of tubers), and in the fruit.

Basically, fruits and tubers eaten by humans or animals are food reserves for plants.

The word photosynthesis comes from Greek which is a combination of two words, namely the word photon which means “light” and synthesis means constituent.

In the process of photosynthesis there are plant parts that are very important in supporting the process.

The part is a leaf, because in the leaves there is a green leaf substance (chlorophyll) which functions to absorb solar energy so that it can be used and produce energy (nutrition).

Because in the process of photosynthesis in addition to producing nutrients or energy for plants, it also produces oxygen which is needed by humans, animals or other living things.
